นิดา เพชรภูษา หญิงสาววัย22 ปี ได้ย้ายติดตาม เอกราชพ่อของเธอไปใช้ชีวิตที่อินเดีย เมืองมัยซอร์ หลังจากพ่อได้รับคำสั่งให้ติดตามท่านทูตมาที่อินเดียจึงเป็นเหตุให้เธอต้องได้ย้ายตามพ่อ แม้ว่าเธอจะไม่เห็นด้วยกับการที่พ่อรับราชการพำนักอยู่ต่างประเทศ แต่ต้องจำใจทิ้งทุกอย่างที่ไว้ที่เชียงใหม่ บ้าน และธุรกิจร้านอาหารต้องให้ญาติเช่าต่อและแย่กว่านั้น ต้องห่างจากหมอราชันคู่หมั้นของเธอ แม่จากเธอไปหลายปี เหลือพ่อเพียงคนเดียวที่เธอรักมากที่สุด พ่อทำงานส่งเสียเธอให้เรียนจบปริญญาโทที่มหาลัยเชียงใหม่ ก่อนที่จะย้ายไปอยู่มัยซอร์ เมืองใต้ของอินเดีย นิดาพยายาม ขอร้องพ่อ ขอกลับไปอยู่เชียงใหม่เพื่อที่จะได้อยู่ใกล้ชิดหมอราชัน ที่กำลังจะมีข่าวดีเรื่องแต่งงานภายในสามเดือนข้างหน้า แต่เธอก็ถูกพ่อปฎิเสธ
เอกราชมีความคิดที่จะให้ลูกสาวมาจัดงานแต่งงานที่อินเดีย เพราะได้รับการสนับสนุนจากทางผู้ใหญ่ฝ่ายอินเดียและทางสถานทูต ทุกคนอยากเห็นประเพณีแต่งงานแบบไทย รวมทั้งทางรายการทีวีจากเดลดีมีการติดต่อมาขอถ่ายรายการบรรยากาศในงานด้วย ยิ่งทำให้นิดารู้สึกอึดอัด ไม่เป็นส่วนตัว เอกราชได้ติดต่อสถานที่ ที่เหมาะสำหรับการจัดงานแต่งงานให้ลูกสาว ไม่ใช่โรงแรมห้าดาว แต่เป็นคฤหาสถ์เก่าแก่ของเชื้อพระวงค์วอร์ดียา เจ้าของมีความยินดีพร้อมที่จะให้ใช้สถานที่โดยไม่คิดค่าเช่า และยินดีต้อนรับเอกราชและครอบครัวเข้าไปพัก เพื่อที่จะเตรียมงานล่วงหน้า หนึ่งเดือน นั่นเป็นข่าวดีและสร้างความประทับใจให้เอกราชและทางผู้ใหญ่จากสถานกงสุลเป็นอย่างยิ่ง
มันจู ซิง จาวอฮาร์ ชายวัย55ปี เจ้าของคฤหาสถ์จาวอฮาร์ ทายาทห่างๆของเชื้อพระวงค์วอร์ดียาแห่งมัยซอร์ มีความเป็นกัลยาณมิตรกับทางการไทยที่พำนักอยู่ในอินเดียมานาน จึงเป็นเรื่องเล็กน้อยสำหรับเรื่องการจัดงานครั้งนี้ มันจูขอเป็นเจ้าภาพเชิญแขกและออกค่าใช้จ่ายทั้งหมด เพื่อตอบแทนเอกราช เพราะเมื่อหลายปีก่อน ครั้งหนึ่งเขาเคยไปเยือนเชียงใหม่ เอกราชต้อนรับเขาครอบครัวเป็นอย่างดี ทุกอย่างเกือบจะสมบรณ์แบบ ทุกคนเห็นด้วยกับสถานที่ อันหรูหรา อลังการ
แต่มีเสียงหนึ่งคัดค้าน คือ อาจูน ซิง จาวอฮาร์ ลูกชายคนเดียวของ มันจู ชายหนุ่มหน้าคมผมเข้มรูปงามดั่งพระศิวะเจ้า วัย28 ปี เป็นคนพูดน้อย ไม่ค่อยยิ้ม อนุรักษ์นิยม รักวัฒนธรรมอินเดีย เคร่งพิธีทางศาสนา ยึดติดสถาบัน และยศฐาบรรดาศักดิ์ เขาพยายามค้านบิดาเรื่องการจัดงานแต่งงานนี้ เพราะไม่อยากให้วัฒนธรรมต่างชาติเข้ามาในรั้ววังจาวอฮาร์ และเขาได้บอกบิดาไว้ด้วยความโกรธว่า ไม่ต้อนรับครอบครัวของเอกราช ที่จะเข้าไปอยู่เพื่อเตรียมตัว หนึ่งเดือนล่วงหน้า มันจูมีปากเสียงกับลูกชาย สร้างความหงุดหงิดให้เขา แต่ได้รับปากกับทางผู้ใหญ่ฝ่ายไทยไว้แล้ว เขาจึงไม่สนใจเสียงคัดค้านของลูกชาย อาจูน ตั้งใจจะทำลายงานแต่งงานให้ทุกคนขายหน้า ผ่านสื่อทีวีของอินเดีย เขาน้อยใจที่บิดาไม่สนใจความรู้สึกของเขา แผนการของอาจูนจะลงเอยอย่างไร เมื่อนิดากับเอกราชได้ย้ายเข้าไปอยู่ในรั้วคฤหาสถ์จาวอฮาร์ เพียงหนึ่งเดือน เพื่อเตรียมงานแต่งงาน
สิ่งที่แย่ที่สุดคือ หมอราชันพาม่านแก้วเพื่อนสาวจากเชียงใหม่เดินทางมาร่วมงานด้วย และมาถึงสถานที่จัดงานเพียงสามวันก่อนวันพิธี จึงทำให้เรื่องวุ่นๆเกิดขึ้น นิดาเริ่มสงสัยในตัวคู่หมั้น ตั้งแต่บอกว่ามาเตรียมงานหนึ่งเดือนไม่ได้ เพราะงานยุ่ง เธอก็ไม่คิดมาก เพราะไว้ใจ แต่เพราะความห่างเหินจึงทำให้หมอราชันแอบชอบกับม่านแก้ว ทั้งสองต้องทนกับความเจ็บปวดที่จะเห็นคนรักต้องลาจาก แต่ไม่รู้วิธีที่จะปฏิเสธงานแต่งอย่างไร หมอราชันจึงหาข้ออ้างว่าม่านแก้วเป็นญาติห่างๆ ต้องการที่จะมาเที่ยวมัยซอร์ จึงให้ติดตามมาด้วย นิดาเชื่อสนิท แต่อาจูน เริ่มสงสัยไม่ไว้ใจหมอราชัน เริ่มไม่ชอบตั้งแต่แรกเห็น เพราะเขาซ่อนความจริงบางอย่างไว้ ภายใต้ความเป็นศักด์ศรีแห่งทายาทของราชวงค์วอร์ดียา จึงไม่สามารถแสดงออกว่ามีใจให้กับนิดา สาวต่างเมืองที่เขาเคยดูถูกและ เหยียดวัฒธรรมประเพณี แบ่งชนชั้น วรรณะ
สุดท้ายเขาต้องยอมลดศักดิ์ศรีแห่งเจ้า ลดความทิฐิลง เพราะนิดา สอนให้เขารู้จักชีวิตและโลกของความรัก แต่เขาจะพูดความว่ารักได้อย่างไร ในเมื่อเขาทำให้นิดาต้องอับอายคนทั้งอินเดีย ว่าผู้ชายที่กำลังจะเป็นเจ้าบ่าว มีหญิงอื่นอยู่แล้ว งานวิวาห์ล่มเพราะเจ้าบ่าวปฏิเสธก่อนเริ่มพิธีเพียงสองชั่วโมง เมื่อรู้ความจริงว่าม่านแก้วตั้งครรภ์ได้สามเดือน
เหตุนี้ทำให้อาจูนต้องเข้าพิธีแต่งงานเพราะสถานการณ์บังคับ มันจูบิดามัดมือชกให้เขาเป็นเจ้าบ่าวจำเป็นโดยไม่มีเงื่อนไข เพื่อรักษาหน้าตาของเพื่อนรักและนิดา เอกราชจะไม่ยอมยกเลิกงานแต่งเด็ดขาด เพราะแขกผู้ใหญ่มากันพร้อมหน้า เป็นงานแต่งงานไทยในต่างแดนที่สมบูรณ์แบบที่สุด แต่ อาจูนแค้นใจบิดาที่ทำกับเขาเหมือนเป็นสิ่งของ เป็นเครื่องมือเพื่อกู้สถานการณ์ เพียงเพื่อรักษาเกียรติยศไว้ เรื่องราวของอาจูนกับนิดา จะเป็นอย่างไร ติดตามในนิยายได้เลยจ้ะ

Recapitulation for Mysore in My Heart
Nida Petchphusa a 22-year old woman who moved to Mysore, South of India to live with her father Akaratch Petchphusa, after her father was ordered to follow the Ambassador to India, although she disagreed with her father and her heart doesn’t want to leave Chiang Mai which their hometown and all businesses are there after her mother passed away long time ago.
She graduated in college afterwards got a MBA degree from Chiang Mai University before moving to Mysore, South of India, Nida tried to asked her father about living in Chiang Mai the reason to get closer with her fiancé, latter-day her father ignored because Nida will get married soon in India and expect Doctor Rachan her fiancé will travel to Mysore to get married.
Akaratch has a plan for a wedding of his daughter that will happen in Mysore. By the help of his Indian old friend they want to have a traditional Thai wedding even the TV media has contacted to take a record for wedding's atmosphere. Nida feels uncomfortable for the public wedding. Akaratch has offered a perfect wedding venue for a daughter not a five stars hotel but It will happen in ancient castle of the Jawahar, the owner tell them they can use the facility without any charges not only that Akaratch’s family can have staycation for one month before wedding date. It’s a big good news for Akaratch and he appreciated that kindness from the owner.
Manju Singh Jawahar a 55-year old man the owner of Jawahar castle a descendant’s dynasty of Mysore. He has a good relationship with Thai consulate in India for a long time.
Manju requested for a host to invite guests and all expenses compensate the relationship for him and Akaratch. In some period of time he visited Chiang Mai with his family, and Akaratch felt them that they’re truly welcome and take care well as they visit there.
Everything is almost complete, everyone agrees with the magnificent place but one person disagreed and he is Arjun Singh Jawahar a 28-year old handsome guy a Manju’s son. He tried to oppose his father about Nida’s wedding. He doesn’t want to enter the foreign culture in the castle. Arjun show an unwelcome feeling to Akratch’s family in preparation one month before wedding date. Manju doesn’t care about his son whether he like it or not, Arjun was be irritable that his father ignored his decision. How Arjun’s will plans end? When Nida moved into the Jawarhar castle to prepare for a bride.
The worst Doctor Rachan travel to Mysore with Mankeaw a pretty woman from Chiang Mai they work together and arrived at the Jawahar castle three days before the wedding date, this makes the story happen. Nida have doubt to his fiancé that his dating other woman but she doesn’t worry to much about it because she trust him. Doctor Rachan and Mankeaw both of them feel regret to see their loved ones leave but do not know how to refuse the wedding.
Arjun hides some truths behind of his heart because he is the Jawahar dynasty, Mysore kingdom. He can't express that he fall in love with Nida, he used to despise because of Indian castes and ethnicities traditional.
Finally, He had to diminish his dignity, because Nida taught him the life and the world of love but how can he say love? He used to expect Nida be shame because her groom have other woman already. The wedding was over because the groom refused two hours before the wedding ceremony. When he knew the truth, Mankeaw is pregnant three months.
This is why Arjun must attend a wedding because of the forced situation. It was his father given him to be the groom unconditionally to protect the honor for Nida and her father
Akaratch will not cancel the wedding because already invite guests. This is the perfect Thai wedding ceremony and his daughter's special day but Arjun resents his father as a kind of thing because it is a tool to resolve situation just to keep Nida's honor.
